Already an established award winning theatrical designer, Brendan's unexpected foray into the world of fashion design began with a single ruffle piece which very quickly exploded its way across the globe becoming an international fashion sensation.
Modern Mistress - an Australian hand made costume inspired fashion label.
Brendan conceptualised, designed, styled, curated, produced and personally flew from continent to continent, capturing the hearts of ruffle lovers worldwide, plus the attention of an incredible array of fabulous famous faces including:
Wendy Williams, Azealia Banks, Frankie Grande, Annie Murphy, Bethany Meyers, Jari Jones.
As well as home grown Australian stars Natalie Bassingthwaighte, Vanessa Amorosi, Elisa Colla, Hattie Boydle, KLP, No Frills Twins, Natalie Abbott, Catherine Van-Davies, Sup I'm Bianca.
Brendan curated a sold out collection at The Phluid Project in New York City for 2019 World Pride which led to a collaboration with Bloomingdale's NYC the following Valentine's Day in 2020.

This extra special Valentine's Day day collaboration with iconic New York City department store Bloomingdale's remains one of Brendan's favourite projects. The work involved full window displays featuring Brendan's designs, an in store activation with live models and a chance to work with New York locals and fashion gurus Kalin Hart Talbott and Edie Smyth.
